This is my home! San Francisco, fifth generation. My favorite part of the city is the ocean. There is something about its endlessness, its continuity, its ceaseless sound, that feels right.

My temporary home - the University of Michigan. I know I am ridiculously optimistic, but I cannot think of a more perfect place to go to college.

Meet my dog Pueblo! We tried to raise him to be a guide dog but he failed because he refused to wear the harness. Also because he's afraid of other dogs. He will likely be a recurring image and topic on this site.

This is me at SF Pride this past summer. My friend and I wanted to find a way to interact with the other people there so we went around with a free hugs sign.

It was a pretty special day - the capacity of strangers to come together and celebrate and love was truly remarkable, and this memory encourages me today.

I'm addicted to baking. This passion began when I was in high school, as a coping mechanism for various things that I was going through (which you can read about in "sleep and stuff.")

When I am in the kitchen, making pies and listening to music, I am in a state of bliss. I rarely follow recipes or set timers. I just go for it.

This is something I sculpted in Studio Art my senior year of high school. I was (and still am) preoccupied by the theme of the body's vulnerability. Though I do not engage much in the visual arts, I am very much interested and compelled by their power to communicate feeling.
